· Excellent & reliable tow vehicle. The Ford Excursion is based on the F-250 super duty pickup truck chassis and shares many of the same components with the F250. Everything works and this Excursion is ready to go & tow. Runs, drives & works perfectly. No lights on. No leaks. No Problems. Recent thorough inspection from Volkers Garage in Santee. It’s ready to leave today on a long-haul road trip. Passed Smog check on April 17, 2024.

· Like New Tires – Purchased 4 New All Terrain Bridgestone Tires at Costco on November 19, 2020 when the odometer reading was at 210,202. Most recent Tire Rotation, Balance and Nitrogen Tire Inflation occurred on April 16, 2024 in Costco Santee with Odometer at 223,924. Only 13,722 miles on these tires. All paperwork can be provided and still within 50,000 mile warranty.

· New Battery installed on 2/14/2024.

· New Catalytic Converter – October 2022

· All fluid levels checked as well as Oil & filter changed on 2/14/24

· New Front and Rear Brake Pads and Rotors - replaced at Volkers on 2/14/24

· All Lift supports for hood and rear hatch were replaced on 2/26/24

Would Like You To Know:

Salvage Title due to Exterior Damage / “Keyed” - This vehicle has a salvage title due to exterior vandalism / paint was keyed. When we bought the vehicle in 2018, we had areas buffed/ touched up. There are some exterior dents, dings, scratches & paint fading that don’t impact the performance of the vehicle. Exterior Paint - could use a paint refresh on the hood and roof. Pictures are included. Since 2018, this vehicle was parked mostly under a carport. Salvage Title in my name. California Plates and DMV Registration card are valid until August 8, 2024. (FYI: Registration/ DMV fees were $165 from 8/8/23-8/8/24). Smog passed on 4/17/2024.

There are a few quirks on this older vehicle that I will point out to you if you wanted to schedule a test drive. For example, the passenger side automatic window works, but moves up and down more slowly than all the other windows, automatic “lock” button on the driver’s side works inconsistently, cover missing off a vent and cover missing on one dial, front driver side cloth arm rest is starting to tear/rip. Each individual gear shifts easily with no problems. All gears work correctly and as expected. However, the indicator that lets you as the driver visually see which gear you’re in doesn’t work. It remains in the same spot regardless if you’re in “P, R, N, D, 2, 1.” We got used to it and therefore never had it fixed. Selling As Is.

This Excursion is listed at $3,900 because it has a salvage title. This could be viewed as a positive because it’s the reason the price is lower than other used tow vehicles, F-series & Excursions currently for sale. All work that needed to be done on this vehicle was recently done because we were planning to drive it to Canada to visit family. Winter storms delayed the trip. Reason for selling now is because we bought a camper van and sold our 30ft travel trailer. We no longer require a tow vehicle of this size.

The Ford Excursion is great vehicle for large families, road trips, moving, beach days, Baja, camping – this versatile vehicle can handle anything. FYI/ Note: Some people live year-round at extended stay spots at Santee Lakes Campground &/or at Campland On The Bay for 6 months at a time in RV’s/ Trailers/ & Tiny Homes. However, in the campground rules you must also have a tow vehicle on site. This Excursion is a very capable tow vehicle and could also serve as a garage/storage unit for all your gear.

Rent is extremely high in San Diego. There are videos of Excursions being converted for full time SUV living / tiny home / camper-van conversions. There is so much interior space inside this Excursion because the second row bench seat folds flat and the 3rd row seat is easily removed out the back. You could get creative and search videos – Van Conversion, Live in a SUV full time etc.
