Every Area, Every Pokemon in Them. (2024)

This is a thread posted on Serebii's forums by a member there called "ShamelessInMyMethod," not me. It's so very helpful though, that I wanted to share it with you here. The link to the original thread is here. Enjoy!

After an exausting and monotonous 4 hours I give to you a complete listing of every basic area in the game (legendary areas such as Spear Pillar not included), and a list of every pokemon you can encounter there. This was done as a personal project I thought I'd share with you all.

All information has been taken off Serebii.com. I have included certain information for certain pokemon, like which game needs to be inserted or if it swarms, but I have not included rarity values. I may edit those in later.

I think this will be very helpful to help anyone prepare for their Sinnoh journey. If you can think of anything I missed just post and I'll edit. Possible concideration for a sticky anyone?

* Update: Due to popular demand, I have included “encountered while fishing or surfing” in the stats for the respective pokemon.

*Update 2: To help people find a certain pokemon on my list, I suggest this -
PC: Hold CTRL, press F key - a seach box comes up. Type in your desired pokemon/route/area.
Mac: Hold APPLE, press F key -a seach box comes up. Type in your desired pokemon/route/area.

*Update 3: Togepi is now Pokeradar, not Swarm.

Every Area, Every Pokemon You Encounter There

* To the n00bs who won't shut up about Tropius and Tangela: THEY ARE BOTH IN BOTH GAMES, AND BOTH IN MY LIST. Tropius is in safari zone, Tangela is on Mt. Coronet.

**Magikarp and Gyarados are found in almost every watery area of Sinnoh

FAQs

Can you catch all 1008 Pokémon? ›

It's possible to have every pokemon, but the collection can only be complete in the Home app. And I believe some stuff must be transferred from past games on 3ds. So, it's tougher to get a complete collection now. There is no national pokedex in the Switch games, and each game only has select pokemon.

Has anyone caught all 802 Pokémon? ›

So, has anyone actually caught all the Pokemon in Pokemon GO? The answer is yes! A few dedicated trainers have reported completing their Pokedexes. These super players have traveled to different continents, participated in exclusive events, and spent countless hours in the game.

Are all 1008 Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet? ›

Yes, there are now 1008 Pokemon running about the place thanks to the release of Generation 9 in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which added 103 new Pokemon. It also added new moves, bringing the total to 898, and 31 new abilities bringing the total to 298 (thanks, Bulbapedia).

Is it even possible to catch em all? ›

No, you don't gotta catch 'em all. The core theme of Pokemon is 'gotta catch 'em all', but that has never actually been possible in a single game.

Can you catch Pokémon if you have 6? ›

even in the games, having six Pokémon doesn't stop you from catching more. As you probably know, any extras you catch will automatically be sent to the PC.

Is there a 1000 Pokémon? ›

What is the number 1012 in the Pokédex? ›

Poltchageist - #1012 - Pokémon GO - Serebii.net.

How to complete the Pokédex? ›

Much of your Pokédex will likely be completed by encountering and catching wild Pokémon. Just keep in mind that there are hundreds of different species of Pokémon, and they don't all act alike. You'll need to adjust how you approach these Pokémon to get the drop on them.

Will Scarlet have National Dex? ›

Even with all the controversy with Sword and Shield, they didn't budge. With this new game, they still won't do a National Dex.

Can you catch more than one Meltan? ›

Upon opening a Mystery Box, Meltan will spawn in the area surrounding you for the next 60 minutes, during which you can encounter and capture as many as you can manage!

Can you catch unknown Pokémon? ›

Unless you can catch one at an event, catching Unown is a case of patience of and a healthy dose of luck - something seasoned Pokémon Go players should be used to by now! The World of Wonders season has come to Pokémon Go, which has brought Sustainability Week, and the World of Wonders quest.

Is it possible to catch all 151 Pokémon? ›

Although Pokémon has a beginning and and end like all RPGs, there is a secondary challenge that you can continue even after you finish the game: catch all Pokémon. There are a total of 151 Pokémon in the game -- but you won't be able to get all of them without trading with other Pokémon players.

Is there a limit to how many paradox Pokemon you can catch? ›

Paradox Pokémon aren't like Ultra Beasts or legendaries — they roam about Area Zero as if they were normal wild Pokémon. That means you can catch as many Paradox Pokémon as you want. Go wild. The only Paradox Pokémon there's a limit on catching are Koraidon or Miraidon.

Is it possible to get 100 IV Pokémon? ›
