As the title of this review states, the dish is good, but there's no reason to be taking things in and out of the pan. I used a black iron skillet, pork chops 3 min. one side, 4. on the other, then 1 min for shallots and peaches, put in the wine and stock and 1 more minute. Stirred in butter and about half as much honey at the very end. They were perfect! Served with couscous and a green salad. Asparagus or broccoli would also make great sides.

Love this! Have ALWAYS wanted to try pork chops and peaches and this was a great one to cut my teeth on. Fresh peaches, no wine (just chicken broth), fresh thyme and red onion rather than shallots. To bump this up a notch, I sprinkled pork chops with a "pinch" of cayenne pepper along with the S/P.....seriously, it was pretty perfect ;) Served with the couscous and buttered green beans. A splurge for a Saturday night.

The sauce was amazing! The pork chops maybe needed a bit more flavor but the sauce more than made up for it. I served over couscous as suggested and had corn on the cob as a veggie.

I agree with other reviewers that the pork should be kept in or put back in the pan while the sauce is cooking to absorb it. I've made this recipe twice, the first with fresh peaches which was way better, the frozen thawed peaches were a little limp and unappealing after being cooked. Also, the last time I made it my sauce never reduced that much even after leaving it on for longer than two minutes. But it is a decent recipe and I'll try again.

Delicious! Next time we make it we will make extra sauce. Cooked couscous as a side dish. We also used canned peaches in 100% juice, since they were out of season. Easy to make.

One of my favorite go-to recipes from Cooking Light. I've made it with chicken too. Great with fresh thyme but just as tasty with dried.

Good enough to make again. Didn't have shallots or fresh thyme so substituted with yellow onions and dried thyme. Sauce was yummy.

My husband and I both thought this was really blah. The pork was too boring, and the sauce was too buttery and too thin. I would suggest halving the butter, and thickening the sauce with cornstarch.

This was delicious and so easy to prepare! I didn't have any white wine so I used all chicken broth and it turned out fine. I also used Agave Nectar instead of honey. I suggest cooking chops until just pink cover loosely with foil while making sauce. They were moist and juicy.

This was outstanding and super easy! Will make for dinner parties going forward. I also added a 1/2 teaspoon of corn starch to make the sauce a little thicker. Will make again! We loved it!

Super quick and a great way to use up my peaches from the co-op that were starting to get a bit soft.

I really loved this and it was so easy. The peaches I got from the store were very fragrant and had great texture and taste which helped. I took the chops out when they weren't quite done then put them back in with the peaches/sauce to finish cooking. They soaked up extra flavor and were wonderful. Don't overcook your chops. I think this will either make or break this recipe for you. Ours were moist and delicious. This will definitely go in the "keeper" file to make again this summer.

Delicious! I didn't have an entire 1/2 cup of white wine, so I just added a touch more chicken broth. :-)

We were working with two CL recipes. For the chops, rather than salt & pepper we used the marinade from "grilled peaches and pork" and cooked them on the George Foreman. Made the fruit saute from this recipe, following directions. Along with the broth, added the accumulated juices from the pork. Very nice combo. Served with asparagus.

I thought this sauce was delicious! I agree w/Judygold and placed the pork chops back in the skillet to simmer w/the peaches and sauce. It took me closer to 40 minuntes (including prepping the peaches & shallots).Served w/bulgar and fresh green beans. This one is a keeper!

Quick and easy with potential to be 4 stars. I only had nectarines to use so the peachy flavor wasn't strong enough. I will definitely try these again when peaches are in season. Maybe a touch of peach liquor to add a little umph to the flavor at the end. I do prefer bone-in chops. Hubby loved it. I served it over garlic couscous.

I loved the idea of this but the final result was not very good. I am a great cook, I always use the best ingredients, but this was just mediocre. I ended up adding some sambal oelek, just because it needed jazzing up. There are plenty other great pork recipes from CL that have fruit and wonderful sauces that I will not make this again.

I thought this was a very good dish, for the minimal effort required. The one suggestion I have is to remove the peaches from the pan at then end of their cooking time and put the pork chops back in the pan with the sauce and let them simmer (covered) until done. (My pork chops were not done after 3 minutes on each side.) This also allows the pork chops to soak up some of the taste of the sauce. I will be making this again.

I'm not a huge fan of porkchops so I am always looking for a way to prepare them that I love...this was close! The recipe is a little on the sweet side, so would make sure to stay away from the sweeter side dishes to accompany them. I will make them again. BTW - even good the next day.
