Dot is confirmed to undergo Terastal training, and the info we got confirms that Terastal training involves gym battles. It's a reasonable assumption that Dot herself will battle at least one gym leader, most likely the one closely associated to her, Iono.

Could be. The new relationship chart has a "main character" tag above Liko and Roy's names, but not Dot.

I'm just saying they said Liko and Roy in the post. Also there are more ways to train then just against gym leaders.

Yes, but there isn’t any reason to think that Dot won’t be battling at least one of the gym Leaders especially when she has a Terra Orb as well.

Just because they only talked about Liko and Roy when they mention battling gym leaders for their Terastalization Training doesn’t mean that the same won’t be true for Dot as well.

The only reason it didn’t mention Dot was likely because Liko and Roy are the 2 central main characters in the current series, while Dot and Friede are main characters and are more important then some of the other characters but the show doesn’t really revolve around them to the same degree that it does with Liko and Roy.

I wanted to say something regarding this series on a personal level: I'm glad I have Pokemon Horizons to follow, especially after the latest intense episode, because very soon it will be' the only entertainment thing I will follow.

I used to be a lot into animation and gaming, but lately I'm distancing myself from both of them. I used to follow a lot of western animated shows but they all ended, and the ones airing now are complete trash (both animated shows AND movies). And I'm not really an anime guy (Pokemon Horizons is the exception) so I'm pretty much done with animated stuff. As for gaming... I'm gonna quit it for good after the Paper Mario Remake this May, and I've already started taking the distances from sites after this week. The reasons for this one are pretty personal, I prefer to not talk about it.

So yeah, very soon Pokemon Horizon will be the only thing left to follow for me, but I'm just glad to have it at least...

It’s because Captain Pikachu’s importance is the same as Friede. It’s not as important as your trying to make it sound.

I assume that's the same one from the ship since easy to imagine it follow one of the kids to the school. I also think that's Liko's Dad's Fidough.

Although Dot is already introduced as Liko and Roy's companion, she does not appear very often. That's why I think she should be after Frieda.

But in all seriousness, I do want them to take part in all three paths...unless the anime does it like "we already did all that last year and you missed it" kinda deal and everyone's happy but now they have to deal with the Explorers because of course they do...
