Two-flavor fudge: Chocolate & butterscotch (1965)

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 10 ounces marshmallow creme
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 ounces butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, milk, and butter in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a full boil over moderate heat, stirring frequently. Boil for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add marshmallow creme, butterscotch chips, and chocolate chips.
  5. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  6. Blend in chopped walnuts and vanilla.
  7. Pour into buttered 9- x 9-inch pan.
  8. Chill until firm. Makes about 2-1/2 pounds
