Nintendo.com temporarily displayed the English-language boxart of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl today. Wi-Fi capability is confirmed on the box.

Why is Nintendo.com (and Pokemon.com) so moronic enough that they constantly put up new information early and then take it down and pretend it never happened?

They did this with the original AG posters way back in 2002, they did it with the April 22nd date of D/P, and now the boxart.

What kind of morons are they that they continue to make these embarrassing mistakes and think nobody caught them before they took it down? Its really embarrassing for a company like Nintendo.

To happen that often you'd figure they're doing it intentionally. Maybe they are, to create a stir or something. It really seems too weird for them to make mistakes like that.

Those have always been the names since the official romanizations came out. Serebii does not use the correct names.

Learn Japanese please. Thank you.

I have provided many examples, here on BMG, and on SPPf, of why we shouldn't follow Official Romanizations as a bible...feel free to search and find them...but my names are NOT incorrect

To be fair...the AG Stuff back in 2002 wasnt actually posted on the main page. We gained access to an unprotected folder which contained them.

The names you use are how you PRONOUNCE the names. They are not how you SPELL them. That is an official truth that has been proven to you many times, sorry to say.

No it isn't WPM...if it was how you pronounce them, it'ld be crazy. This is how they are SPELT in Japanese...and Many times Official Romanisations have lost the meaning behind the names. If you care to look as opposed to being all attempting "high and mighty" and dumb...then you'ld see
It hasn't been proven to me many times because it hasn't been proven. Get your head out of your ass

1. All the names which would stay the same in English stay the same.
2. Your spellings have NEVER, EVER been found ANYWHERE official.
3. http://www.filb.de/content/scans/corocoro/2007-01/Stickers.jpg

*waits for an ignorant response*

EDIT: 4. Oh, and your names don't make any sense. Buizeru? What the fudge is a Buizeru? Buoysel tells us that it is a combination of Buoy and weasel. Buizeru is how the Japanese pronounce it aloud.

I have never said my spellings were official. I have never and would never make that assertion...your first point again...isn't true...Suicune much? And just throwing pictures of official merchandise at me? Wow score! Well done...you're just repeating the same thing over and over...wow you're so good at making a point

So tell me...whats Plusle's Official Japanese Name?

You know, you are quite stupid. You've been living in a world where everyone believes you so much for everything that you say that you have learned that you do not need to provide sufficient answers to shut someone up or to prove something. It may work on your members, but not me, or anyone else with a brain.

Yes, it's official merchandise. When something is OFFICIAL like that, it's usually RIGHT - you know, official. Plusle's name was Prasle from long ago - they haven't corrected the name. That CoroCoro page is recent. The Japanese even called Dialga and Palkia those names on the Yahoo site several months ago (it was the names of their images). Dogasu has even told you that you are wrong. nYoo says you are wrong. Bangiras has said you are wrong. Even CORONIS, your own translator, and hot-headed Chris use the correct names that I and every other intelligent person use. These people know, study, and understand Japanese, and you are a British kid. Who's more reliable? Your answers and your names don't make sense. You feed these names to the community, get them wrong, and then they complain when the real names are exposed.

You know, if this was real life and you were in a debate tournament, you would be entertaining the crowd.

Yes, it's Prasle - so what?!
Names can be made up words. There may be some weird Japanese official spellings but what does that change about them being official? I don't see why that would be a reason to not use them.

I agree with WPM that Serebii's names are wrong. But Serebii apparently doesn't even claim his names to be official, he's just some fool who uses wrong spellings on purpose and unfortunately many believe his spellings are correct.
It's rather pointless and tiring to argue about this topic.

I do think so, too, that it would be better if Serebii used correct spellings, BECAUSE his website is so well-known. Us others always have to deal with noobs who tell us that the spellings they know from SPP are correct and it's f*ckING ANNOYING to start arguing with them. -_-

There are some really weird examples for Serebii's stupid spellings. What are "Rugaji", "Jupitol" or "Massaguma" supposed to be?! They don't even fit the Katakana! This is so ridiculous - how can such retarded names be on something that many claim to be "the best Pokémon site"?!

Yes, I am actually incredibly stupid because I am using reason to counter your "WAAA WAAA SEREBII IS MEAN WAAA WAAA *throws the same stuff over and over WAAA SEREBII SUCKS. MOMMY...SEREBII INSULTED MY SITE ONCE IN A CHATROOM WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" style arguement.

Although the names I use arent the official names, that doesn't make them any less accurate. The names I use are just accurate...just not the official translations that Nintendo used. Why do I choose this? (Yes I choose to do it) Because there are several documented cases of the Official Names being f*cked up and losing the original intended meaning. Most people know that this is my stance and by constantly attacking me for it, which you do, you are just being the most pathetic petty person in the fandom...and considering the amount of saddos (no offense saddos) there are in the community and the general brush that Pokemon Communities get painted with out in the real world (I don't expect you to know what that is), it is quite a statement and holds true

You make absolutely no sense, Serebii. When I read what you say, I think, "Is this kid on crack or something?"

Rukario. Manafi. Buizeru. Diaruga (sounds like diarrehea). Parukia. SEREBII. All of the names you use make no sense in any context. They are simply how the Japanese pronounce them, and they are not meant to be spelled in such a manner. That's like me trying to spell toboggan after hearing it. I would probably spell it toebogin or something to that affect, and essentially, you are doing the same thing. I think you refuse to use the correct names because YOUR SITE'S NAME is even wrong, and you don't want to admit it. It's just like you.

I also love how hypocritical you are. Almost everything you say badly about me and others almost always describes what you do. You are like Iago from Othello. "It hasn't been proven to me many times because it hasn't been proven. Get your head out of your ass" I believe the last comment effectively describes what you should do. And yes, it has been proven. I just proved it in my last post. Get your head out of your ass.

*waits for a "berate" comment*

Sigh, this is just going to continue because your ego is so much bigger than you (and thats saying something). The names do make sense (you'll see one case of this soon...trust me), but I'm not going to continually repeat myself to try and convince you. I don't care what you think really, I have sooo many better things to do.

These names are also how the names are spelt in the game so they are accurate...we didn't just pull them out of our arse or by listening to them being said did we?

Oh, and I don't berate others...only you. You have a strange ability to get under my skin. The others including nYoo, Dogasu and so forth, can actually make a point using their knowledge...you cannot, you're basing it on semi-complete knowledge you have gained upon the way so I do respect them a lot more than you, and I do take what they say to heart...but they also know that the names aren't WRONG as you put it (except nYoo but English-language Diamond, Pearl boxart revealed: Wi-Fi capability in North American v (2)), just not the official names and so when theres names which stay the same, there are issues but big deal...I have seen the official names not be right so enought times for it to give me reason not to use them.

Plus, anyone with a good knowledge of English can spell words from how they are pronounced...and you must say toboggan incredibly strangely if you'ld put it as toe first...but then again you're American and you're using the butchered excuse for English that all Americans use so *shrug*

Anyway, as I have better things to do, I won't post here again and have the same arguement that has been going for ages just because you lack the actual knowledge...so I bid you adeiu my friend
