Heck they have already seemingly changed how it worked somewhat. No way thats not what all the Lucius scenes whenever they get one of the Heroes is meant to be a reference to. Even has the same fog.

The introduction of Tera for kids is neat, but having them all learn it alongside Amethio diminishes its uniqueness as a mechanic a bit for me. Mega Evolution felt more mystical, while Z-moves were deeply rooted in Alola's culture. Kyodaimax was exclusive to Galar but got mass-produced due to battling's commercialization. Tera feels repetitive, offering just type-specific power boosts lacking surprise.

However, if they alter Tera types based on a Pokémon's secondary coverage moves, like Friede's Lizard turning Dark, it could add more fun I think. Perhaps we'll see a Flying Cap Pikachu with an Air Balloon? Tera types headcanons I like are that it could symbolize a Pokémon's inner desires, transforming them into their true selves.

Personally I would preferred Dot learning a Z-Move, plenty were undebuted and from Murdock and Blanca's Lugarugan family theme I figured Murdock/Blanca/Dot could be from Alola. I imagine we may see her dad owning Midday eventually and maybe Dusk can be owned by Dot or Murdock or another family member. (I'm enjoying Dot's arc. <3)

Wonder of Mega Evolutions, Z-Moves and Dynamax will even be a thing in Horizons. I mean Liko already has Hattena, what if it fully evolves and it Gigantimaxes?

Mega Evolutions seem likely if there will be a tie-in to Z/A.

Episode 35-45 of the Pokémon anime will be available on the official Pokémon Youtube channel until around noon Friday April 12th! In episode 43, Liko and Roy battled Onyx and Sango from the Explorers! It appears Onyx and Sango will be infiltrating Orange Academy in the new chapter Terastal Debut as well...!

If these screenshots are from the same episode, the reason could simply be that maybe Larry and Poppy will only show up to greet MC and Dot, and then we'll focus on the rest of E4.

If I had to guess, they wanted Poppy to match Tinkaton (Small girl, big hammer. But no hammer) and actual 9 year old height wouldn't give the same vibe? Idk it's all I've got.

I find Chili's design impressive, but I wish her voice diverged more from Shuu's, her style gives off Sailor Uranus vibes, especially with the gender-ambiguous design. Concerning Aoki, he lacks the deadpan delivery I'd prefer. A touch more blandness and seriousness, perhaps with a paler demeanor, would suit him better.

Anime!Chili promises to be entertaining, a prime example of a well-designed character deserving more screen time and development. However, it's disappointing that she likely won't have significant relevance or battles. Aoki's character as a businessman finding meaning through fighting could potentially break him out of his overworked persona as both Gym Leader and League member.
